However, things have changed since the global pandemic outbreak. With the rising numbers of affected individuals in the United States, people are strictly following the self-quarantine and social distancing practices. And they apply for inviting technicians and reps to your home!

Therefore, even if you are not a tech geek, you can install the said security suite. This suite comes essentially with a subscription to the business internet. Let’s walk you through the step-wise, comprehensive guide on installing this suite on Windows and Mac.

Spectrum Security Suite Compatibility and Installation

With a business internet subscription, you get to have the license of the security suite that applies to up to 25 computers. However, the entire procedure is to be repeated for all 25 systems. Be sure that there are no hidden costs.

Here are the simple steps to install it on Windows.

Installation on Windows

These steps apply to a Windows PC with the following requirements:

System Requirements

Make sure that the Windows computer that you have meets the following requirement:

Processor	Intel Pentium 4   Two GHz (gigahertz) or higher
OS (Operating System)	32 bit & 64 bit (All editions included) Windows 7, 8, or 10
Disk Space	Around 1.2 GB free space in your hard drive
Memory	1 GB (gigabyte) or more

Downloading the Suite

When you start with the downloading step, the Spectrum Security Suite will automatically uninstall any existing antivirus software or program from the system. If not, it will prompt you to uninstall antivirus program/software from your system.

Once you have uninstalled it, the downloading will begin.

Steps-Wise Guide

• Sign in when prompted.
• Go to Desktop Security. You will find it at the bottom of the screen.
• Upon getting the prompt, tap, manage to proceed.
• You will then access the Security Suite management page.
• Tap Install/download the suite.
• Opt for your operating system.
• Add a nickname for your computer or device.
• When you hit download, a new window will appear.
• Tap run.
• Upon getting any prompts, click continue.
• Click Accept and Install.
• The machine will then prompt you to restart your PC.
• Close the wizard when the installation is complete.

The self-installation is fairly easy. You need to make sure that the device nickname you choose is less than sixteen characters. You are free to choose letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores in the name you choose.

Prior to installation, the suite will automatically download and run the Antibot Scanner. If it detects any harmful files, restart your system.

Installation on Mac

Considering that the installation procedure of the Spectrum Security Suite on Mac is different from that on Windows, we are going to explain it separately. Take advantage!

Downloading the Suite

The downloading process is almost the same on Mac as on windows with some minor differences, which you will be able to handle. If you are able to do Spectrum troubleshooting on your own, you will be able to do this too. It is as simple as that.

• Sign in.
• Go to Desktop Security. You will find it at the bottom of the screen.

• When you hit download, a new window will appear. Tap ‘Save File’.
• Head to the Downloads folder.
• Locate the saved file and open it.
• Upon getting a prompt, restart your machine.
• Close the installation wizard when you get a prompt.
• Upon getting a prompt to enable Browsing Protection when the suite is installed.
• Head over to the drop-down list and pick your browser. Tap ‘Install Now’.
